Sažetak
Repatriation of Croatian common carp strains from the live genebank of HAKI has started sveral years ago with a genetic background. Haki ex-situ genebank (15 Hungarian strains, 15 strains from different countries) War in Croatia was a couse of mixing the strains, lost broodfish, lost genetic variability. So with cooperation of University of Zagreb and HAKI is achived to repatriate Nasice and Poljana Strains. To propagate and repatriate the Croatian strains 100.000 larvae/strain was brought to the farm of origin. The genetic variability of the local and genebank strains (allele numbers, allelic richness, number of private alleles) using microsatellite DNA markers was described.
