Sažetak
Competitive DNA hybridization in microtitar plates is useful for measuring CAV in blood. Poor correlation of the method with virus isolation was a result of setting the absorbance level for a positive sample at 2 SD less than the mean of controls. ELISA, although not very reliable, should be used in combination with competative DNA hybridisation to address two different aspects, presence of virus and immune response to prior or present infection.
