Sažetak
The authors will present the outcome of a small-scale research, conducted in June 2010, with the first generation of students studying by the Bologna standards. The research focuses on the outcomes of the Teaching Practice course taught to the fifth-year students (final year of study) in the program Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate University Program of Study of Primary Education and the English Language at the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb. The research consists of a comparative analysis of the main aims and the presumed learning outcomes of the course contrasted with students’ reports and evaluations of their teaching practice, and a self-assessment questionnaire turned in by the students at the end of the course. The results of the analysis show that the course aims and learning outcomes set at the beginning of the course have been achieved to a considerable extent. The analysis also revealed aspects of the Teaching Practice course that proved to be problematic for students. Having conducted such a study gives teachers involved in the course the opportunity to modify and improve particular aspects in order to reach the aims and in order for students to attain the set learning outcomes.
