Sažetak
Crucial step toward the coordinated energy policy of the European Union has been made with the ratification and adoption of the Lisbon treaty in all Member States. The new and coordinated energy policy of the European Union has in recent years clearly taken up the challenge of tackling climate change. The new European legislation sets concrete objectives. Future development of the electricity grids, both on the transmission and distribution level, is one of the preconditions for reaching those ambitious goals. Within this paper expected development of the Slovenian electricity grid related with the supporting environment, which will be necessary to achieve energy package goals, has been described. Also, the key infrastructure projects on the transmission and distribution level have been presented. Simulative legislative environment is one of the key elements for the successful and on-time implementation of all planned projects.
