Sažetak
The assessment of wind power capacity and estimated wind energy potential on locations with appropriate average wind speeds and areas that satisfy the safety criteria derived from the limitations of protected, endangered and other areas with a special legal regime is presented in this paper. The selective criteria which define the locations with potential for wind energy production are discussed and the chosen model parameters for wind energy potential assessment are explained. The results of this assessment are then compared and evaluated against the goals set by Slovenian National Renewable Energy Action Plan.
