Sažetak
The paper discusses the differences in the behavior of two classes of clitics in Neo-Štokavian varieties of Croatian, in particular, vowel lengthening in prepositional clitic hosts and connected phonological phenomena. The process of vowel lengthening has been analyzed acoustically and statistically, and the implications of the process for the analysis of clitic have been discussed.
