Sažetak
Generally, sludge management became an essential part of the wastewater treatment process. Our previous studies were focussed on waterbased printing inks and their wastewaters. The flocculation process, as chosen wastewater treatment process, followed by rapid filtration, was optimized in order to achieve the maximal removal of colloidal substances, colour and turbidity.
In our research, the possibility of incorporation of the printing ink sludges into bricks were investigated. The different percentages of obtained sludges were added to the basic raw materials in the production of bricks and it was shown that 3 percent added sludges do not change either the physical-mechanical properties of bricks of colour. The heavy metal content is found to be within permisive limits.
