Sažetak
This article discusses the legal nature and public law aspects of cross-border land and submarine cables and pipelines, together with the relevant provision of the Energy Charter Treaty and the United Nations Convention for the Law of the Sea (private law aspects, such as contracts, insurance and prices are not discussed). A number of legal issues concerning submarine cables and pipelines are recognised as deficiencies of the current legal framework.
