Sažetak
Metals are integral part of some metal complex dyes. The harmful action of heavy metals is known and it is necessary to supervise the contents of heavy metals in dyestuffs, in a dyed textile material and in textile waste waters. It is estimated that the average annual loading of waste waters with metal ions is 0, 1 mg/dm3 as a consequence of the intensive use of metal complex dyes in textile industry. On the other hand, the concentration of metal ions in textile fabrics and in clothing is strictly limited for copper is from 25 ppm (for baby clothing) to 50 ppm (for clothing in direct contact with skin), according to  ko tex standard 100 and therefore concentration of copper during the production process, in final products and waste waters should be controlled. This paper presents the determination of copper in textile dyes by spot test analysis. The optimal conditions for spot test determination of copper has been studied. Reagents for visualisation of copper have been tested (sodium diethyldithiocarbamate, diphenylcarbazone, dithizone, rubeanic acid and PAN). The sorbents tested were silicagel, aluminium oxide, cellulose and filter paper, plain or impregnated with reagents for visualization. Aliquot of standard solutions of copper or dye combusted sulutions were applied to the chromatographic plate or paper. The plates or paper were recorded with CAMAG Video Documentation system. Quantification and comparison of spot test on tested adsorbents was performed via Video Store 2 software.
