Sažetak
The paper explains problematic of material fatigue, as well as the need for correlation between fatigue endurance and tensile properties of the materials in broad use, due to the fact that investigations by material fatigue tests are costly and last long. Therefore the literature offers numerous empirical equations which conect most frequently the bending fatigue endurance and tensile strength of the material. The paper presents investigation results of correlation between bending fatigue endurance and tensile strength of the steel for railway railsobtained on the basis of extensive laboratory testing.
