Sažetak
The situation regarding interactions between the socio-economic systems and natural environment in Baranja in the period 1974-1991 inicated the existence of frequent gaps between the sustainability maintenance in these interactions and their realized character which tended more to the exploitation and degradation of natural environment quality. Althouht the data about its state were not statistically collected in that time, presupposed unveiling of interaction character with regard to the changes in Kopački rit's ecosystem quality leads us to such conclusion. Exploitative relation to natural environment was especially intensified in 1980s.It is interesting from the theoretical point of view that the slow tendency of economic growth and the increase on the rank list of Croatia's municipalities according to the criteria of total progress and economic efficiency was recorded in Baranja.
