Sažetak
In recent years there has been a decrease in funding of formal education due to changes in trends in the demographic structure, the slow growth of the economy but also more dynamic changes dictated by the labor market. Human resources are not fully utilized and adapted to the needs of the economy because of the slowness and lack of adaptation to changes and trends in the economy more dynamic turns than it used to be. The paper shows the average trends of education through European standards comparable with Croatian standards, which on an annual basis following the achievements in line with the Europe 2020 strategy as well as a certain concept of lifelong learning, which should eventually bring some recommendations. Recommendations of work in accordance with the established goals are aimed at defining realistic competencies and skills that would improve performance employability in the economy of eastern Croatian. The aim of the research results from the analysis more practical forms of education and stronger networking education programs with economic operators.
