Sažetak
In a systematic social phenomena observation, one should start from the fact that each economic subject is a part of the economic system that represents a subsystem of a narrower or of a broader social community. Thus, interactive connections within a macr- or microenvironment are significant for each economic subject. The catering touristic economic subjects that are the topic of our discussion also function, as business systems, in a pronounced mutual dependabillity with a narrower or with a broader environment. The main reason for devoting such a great attention to the analysis of a relevant economic subject environmnet should be searched for in characteristics ascribed to the environment in recent decades, pertaining to changeabilit, insecurity, and extern conditions destabilization, uninfluenced by an individual economic subject. The paper discusses the position of Croatian tourism industry in international marketing envronment, especally from the viewpoint of globalization as an irrepressible trend.
