Sažetak
Little has been written about manufacturing SMEs (Laforet, Tamn, 2006), and even less about manufacturing SMEs in Croatia (Radas, Božić, 2009). In this work we aim to bridge this gap and explore in depth innovation determinants of Croatian manufacturing SMEs. This work is a part of a larger EMIS (European Manufacturing Innovation Survey) where only SMEs are considered. After extracting only SMEs from the database, innovative SMEs are contacted and more in depth analysis has been done. Some findings from the literature are supported while other may be defined are characteristics of Croatian SMEs.
