Sažetak
This paper will deal with influences of migration and adult education in the Republic of Croatia in the context of the lifelong learning. In introduction we will present types of migration that were the most obvious in Croatia in the Homeland war period. In the second part we will present migration flows in the Homeland war and the post war period that had a special impact on the adult education in the context of the lifelong learning. Special emphasis will be given to changes in programmes, organizational forms, didactic-methodical modes and decisions in the education of newly formed groups (refugees and displaced persons). In this paper adult education is shown as an important factor of development of culture of peace that is of great importance for the integration of war migrants. In the end, we will give an example of good practice in work with displaced persons and refugees in the promotion of culture of peace as a central notion of education in the last decade of the 20th century.
