Sažetak
The paper is focused on the issue of heating of overhead ground wires and OPGW cables under non-stationary conditions. It presents the calculation of temperature rise of ground wires and OPGW cables resulting from their exposure to short-circuit conditions at adiabatic states. Results are graphically shown of theoretical heating calculations of temperature compared with experimental laboratory research investigations for two different types of ground wires and one type of OPGW cable as employed in the modern technique of the overhead transmission line construction in Slovenia and in the world. The author's approach is based on the methodology proposed by the International CIGRE working group WG22.12 for conductors, i.e. Electrical Aspect of Overhead Lines.
