Sažetak
Stationary investigations with winter wheat-maize-soybean in crop rotation, on chernozem soil type, in transitional semiarid to semihumid climate, were started in 1998 year with the following reduced soil tillage treatments:
In 1998/99 year, 1-Conventional tillage based on ploughing (25-30 cm); 2-Diskharrowing; 3-Diskharrowing combined by loosening of plow-layer (up to 30 cm deep, by subsoiler chisels, 40 cm distance); 4-Rough diskharrowing.
Seedbed preparation for all treatments comprised diskharrowing and using of seed harrow.
In the next years of investigation variant 5, as no-tillage, will be included. No-till planter John Deere 750A was used. Fertilization was based on 174 kg N, 105 kg P2O5 and 70 kg K2O ha-1. Variety "Demetra" (Agricultural Institute Osijek) was sown with 700 germination kernels m-2 on October 17. The basic plot size was 900 m2, the trial was carried out as randomized plots, in four replications. In 1997/98 year precrop was silage maize (no-plant residues).
Climatically, the 1998/99 year was unfavourable for winter wheat growing and the yields were as average. Winter wheat grain yields were: on variant 1 - 5.95; variant 2 - 6.11; variant 3 - 5.85 and variant 4 - 6.02 t ha-1. The differences were statistically non-significant. Preliminary conclusions are that all investigated tillage treatment were successful, enabling pretty reducing of costs, fuel and labour consumption.
