Sažetak
First part of the article deals with methods for calculating the efficiency of solar space heating and domestic hot water systems and biomass combustion systems by HRN EN standards. In the second part, the procedure was then applied to the example of building of the energy rating E, with the solar space heating and domestic hot water system and biomass boiler as a backup heat source. By using the obtained results, the energy balance and analysis of financial viability of the system was carried out., Also, the same calculation methods, energy balance and cost-effectiveness analysis were applied to building of the energy rating B with the solar space heating and domestic hot water system and on buildings of the energy rating B and E with the domestic hot water solar system. The calculation was performed for all examples with the aim of optimizing energy efficiency and attaining a shortest payback period. Main goal was to determine the required primary energy for each of four analyzed examples. In the final part of the article, a comparison of the required primary energy and payback period for each of the examples of solar thermal systems and building energy ratings is given.
