Sažetak
Immune suppression continues to be a major health and economic problem for commercial production of poultry. Molecular test that can be used to evaluate immune status of chickens was developed. Induction of chicken IFN a, g mRNA can be measured in microtitar plates by competative NA hybridisation. Kinetics of mRNA for both IFN induced with NDV ae similar and age nondependant. Decrease in IFN mRNA caused by CY results from a specific effect on transcription ending in immune suppresion due to decreased antibody response. Developed assay can be used to etermine if immunosupresive viruses act at the level of transcription.
