Sažetak
Repository can be seen as a database (storage) of digital electronic records in mana-gement of the graphic production processes. Besides the informative "warehouse" the functiof repository comprises the integration of work flow with software systems. Access to daily in-formation that provide monitoring of the working phases of making a graphic product, are provided on request of a client-user. The records that the repository should promptly provide to the production manager are reported in information:  any change to the existing information about the graphic product  changes in the execution phases of work through its workflow (pre-press, press, post-press)  subsequent information and records addressed by the management, in agreement with clients  changes in the delivery or personalization of the product. The protocols specify a safe mode of operations (editing) on the correlation of input parame- ters, embracing the existing applications. The working platform in its environment may be associated with an integrated network of the basic applications. The contents is easily distri-buted on the installed software solutions towards client servers. The entire modification is carried out using a network server. The structured documents contain the basic text and images, including identification of speci-fic functions of each segment and clearly indicating the beginning and the end of the logical part of the document. XML document describes the structure of data, which represents parts of IT applications which process it and represents a formed subset of SGML. XML is actually not a program-ming language, but the standard for production of the language which corresponds to the strict XML criteria. XML describes a syntax that is used for the creation of individual marker tags. Each author has individual freedom of using the XML language to mark the information in their own way (in their mother tongue). XML repository represents a special repository that can manage the XML file in its original form with all the input and output tags.
