Sažetak
Dance flies adults were collected from 8 locations in the National park Plitvice Lakes with pyramid–type emergence traps and with use of aspirator and entomological net. Collection of specimens in emergence traps took place from March 2007 until February 2008 and collection with aspirator and entomological net was only partially on some locations during 2005 and 2006. 2165 specimens were identified belonging to 21 species, 3 of which are a new record for Croatia (Chelifera pyrenaica, Hemerodromia laudatoria, Wiedemannia aquilex). Emergence started at April and lasted until October. 6 species (Dolichocephala gutatta, Kowarzia barbatula, Chelifera precabunda, Chelifera pyrenaica, Chelifera stigmatica and Hemerodromia melangyna) are bivoltine while others are unvoltine, 3 species emerge in late summer and autumn, while 12 species emerge in spring and summer. Most of the species seem to prefer fast waters rather then slow ones and from different type of microhabitats, they prefer moss.
