Sažetak
From the north-eastern slopes of the Mt. Vran all the way to Jablanica, where it flows into the Neretva River, Doljanka River formed a composite valley of the total length of 18 kilometres. Tectonic movements, which predisposed genesis of the valley, lead to relative high structural-geomorphological differentiation within the area. Doljanka formed its riverbed in magmatic rocks of Permian-Triassic age, sandstones, marls and marly-sandy limestones of Triassic age and colluvium of Quaternary age. In the upper part of the valley slopes (5º-12º), in the form of terraces, form valley widening. Parts of the valley are filled with fluvio-glacial sediments, and in upper parts of the valley tufa barriers are found. Relief energy is high (100 m/km2 - 800 m/km2). Valley slopes are under impact of gravitational processes, and material (sedimented by processes of dispersion, washout and gulling) is resedimented by water and accumulated in the lower part of the valley. The regime of Doljanka River water flow is markedly seasonal (most of the water flows during the winter and early spring (February - April) and autumn (November-December) period), when, occasionally, torrent are formed, and is consistent with the physical geographic characteristics of the wider area.
