Sažetak
The awareness of greenhouse gas emission increase has forced a development of new technologies with lower emissions and technologies that can accommodate carbon dioxide capturing and sequestration. In oxy-fuel combustion, fuel is combusted in pure oxygen rather than air. This technology can recycles flue gas back into the furnace to control temperature and makeup the volume of the missing nitrogen to ensure there is sufficient gas to maintain the temperatureand heat flux profiles in the combustion chamber. Or totally increase the dynamics (CDF) approach was applied to simulate the combustion characteristics in a 1kW oxy-burner. Two types of oxy-burner mixers were studied. The first was the "spiral type" nozzle which one was design for low caloric gas combustion with help of air burners. The second mixer was the "conic type" nozzle which is a simple gas and oxidizer outlet with conic body of gas pipe with influence to focus the oxidizer direction and increase the inlet velocity of oxidizer into the fuel stream. Four cases of oxygen enhanced combustion were studied in the present paper. The air with oxygen enrichment: 0%, 25%, 50% and 75% of oxygen. The heat loss cross the wall of combustion chamber, the mass flow inlets of the air and natural gas were calculated. The simulation settings like turbulence model, radiation model and species model were describe and defined too.
