Sažetak
Reducing the share of manufacturing industry in gross domestic product, even in the years of higher rates of economic growth, leads to a decrease in competitiveness of Croatian economy. Therefore, this paper investigates the trends in the wood processing industry and furniture manufacturing, as one of the oldest industries in Croatia. Using the econometric models, we estimate which macroeconomic indicators influence sectoral production. According to the multiple linear regression analysis results, one can conclude that production is affected by both real gross domestic product growth rates and unit labour costs. Real export values also play an important role.
