Sažetak
The characteristics of aluminium bronze deposited on the base metal of the tooling for deep drawing are shown in this paper. This tooling is used in the forming of CrNi stainless steel sheets. During processing, the particles of steel material of tooling must be prevented from penetrating the surface layer of workpiece. They must be “insulated” from each other. The deposit made for this testing was the aluminium bronze/steel compound. CuAl-A3 alloy was deposited on St 52-3 N base metal by the cladding procedure. Measuring of dimensions, metallographic analysis and hardness testing were performed before and after the heat treatment, and after compressing of the test samples. It was determined that the chosen parameters of cladding can give good “insulation” layer between the base metal of tooling and the workpiece.
