Sažetak
The analysis includes the degree of reliability of transmission line pylons along the Adriatic coast in the areas with a dominant wind load depending upon the micro-location of each pylon. The second-values of the Bora gusts were measured at the selected location Tugare near Split, at three different points during a defined time period. The investigations showed that the wind has typical local features conditioned by the surrounding topography at the Tugare location which is reflected upon the reliability degree of the standard pylons at each location. It has also been stated that the data obtained by the existing network of thirtyfive meteorological stations (hourly-values data of the wind action) do not yield reliable data for each location, particularly for the high structures sensitive to wind action.
