Sažetak
A part of the TMR (Training and Mobility of Researchers) of the 5th Topic Shear Wall Structures of the European Program ICONS ( Innovative Seismic Design Concepts for New and Existing Structures ) was to perform a series of seismic tests on a 5-story structure. The set up was the same as for the previous French CAMUS experiment, but the new structure followed the EC8 provisions with the behavior reduction coefficient q=3.5. The 1/3rd scaled model of the walls, "Camus 3", consisted of two parallel 5-floor r/c walls without openings connected by 6 square floors. A heavily reinforced concrete footing allowed the anchorage to the shaking table. The tests were performed on the Azalee shaking table of the EMSI Laboratory in Sacley, France. [1], [2]. A series of seismic tests were realized with 2 types of seismic records. An artificial signal NICE was used for the low-level initial and high-level ultimate tests. The natural signal MELENDY RANCH represented a near-field high-magnitude seismic record and was used for the intermediate tests. The tests were performed until the model structure collapsed. The Faculty of Civil Engineering in Osijek participated in the project by making a blind prediction of the "CAMUS 3" model seismic response to a given set of earthquakes [3]. The main objective of that first phase was to check the ability of macro elements and a standard computer code to predict global and local wall response parameters. The platform for the nonlinear analysis of the structural systems was the program LARZ [6] that had been developed through calibration using results from dynamic tests of reinforced concrete structural systems incorporating frames and walls. After finishing the first phase study and collecting the predicted response from cca. 10 institutions the complete test results were publicized [2]. In this report a final comparison between the calculated (with slight model improvements) and the measured results is presented.
