Sažetak
The test system, comprising a ground-source heat pump coupled to a 100 m vertical borehole heat exchanger, which was installed on the premises of the Laboratory of Applied Thermodynamics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture University of Zagreb is the one of a kind in Croatia. The thermocouple temperature sensors that were located along the borehole heat exchanger from 1, 5 to 100 m, contribute to a better interpretation of the thermal processes that occur between the BHE and the ground. The first results show a significant impact of the GSHP running time duration, as well as of the soil local thermal conductivity variation, on the soil temperature distribution along the borehole. The intermittent operation of the GSHP was characterized with the decreasing of its heating capacity at the end of operation period, corresponding to the decreasing of the COP for about 15 to 25 % compared to the same parameters at the start of system operation.
