Sažetak
Overwhelming amounts of spatial data are distributed using web platform. This paper focuses on standards and technologies which improve distribution by specifying constrained gridsets for publishing spatial data. Open standards are essential for service interoperability and in this paper we give brief overview of WMS-C, TMS and WMTS specification. Spatial data tiles, with predefined size and origin, can be easily cached and processed locally utilizing proxy and processing services. After defining what proxy and processing services in context of geospatial data distribution are, we overview TileCache, MapProxy and GeoWebCache open source software which provide these services. In the final part of this article we thoroughly test all of the services in a simulated real world usage. As a conclusion we emphasize importance of spatial data distribution and utilization of proxy and processing services.
