Sažetak
The ship is a complex system made up of a technological equipment, automation and crew, so they represent the basis for the ship's technological development. Among them automation has experienced the greatest and quickest change. The development of electronics has the greatest influence on the evolution of automatics. The analyses of the automation effects show not only the increased economic efficiency of the ship engaged in service, but also a negative economic impact on the side of the shipyard. Considering development tendencies, shipyard interests and technological possibilities, the future development of the ship is foreseen. Its basic characteristic is the physical and functional incorporation of electronics into the technological device. In operation the ship is transformed into a subsystem of a complex business and safety systems.
