Sažetak
The author examines how gender has been defined through both Croatian and Serbian national discourses during the war, how gender opposition has been employed by both sides as a metaphoric device designed to uphold national and cultural stereotypes, and finally how male and female musicians in various popular music genres both negotiate and construct these notions of gender as cultural markers.
