Sažetak
GIST is one of the most common mesenchyal tumors of gastrointestinal tract, they are typically defined as tumors ewhose behavior is driven by mutations in the Kit gene or PDGFRA gene. A 72-year-old male patient with earlier diagnosis of NHL , now in remission, was admitted on haematology department due to anemia. Esophagogastroscopy revealed a tumor in antrum. Biopsy was taken and pathology analysis finds out adenocarcinoma. Bilroth II gastric resection was planned, but during exploration a subserosal tumor was found in gastric fundus. D2 gastrectomy was performed. Two different neoplasm were revealed: an adenocarcinoma and GIST, adenocarcinoma was T1N1MO, pathology analysis also found multifocal GIST on 5 different location on stomach specimen. All GIST were less than 1 cm in diameter and all were composed of spindle and epitheloid cells without atypia. The patient was 8-day discharged and reffered to adjuvant oncologic treatment. The synchronous occurence of gastric adenocarcinoma and multiple gastric GIST in patient with NHL is not reported in literature. Further confirmation is required, until than surgeons and other physicians involved in treatment of similar patients should be acquaint with this interesting condition.
