Sažetak
Maize is the leading crop in Yugoslavia, both as regards the areas under it and its economic importance. The weed control in this crop is mainly performed by means of the agents from the group of substituted triazines (Atrazine, Prometryne and Simazine), by some agents from the group of penyl-ureas (Linuron and Chlorbromuron), and by some derivates of the phenoxy-acetic acid (2, 4-D). Most mentioned agents are very effective in nearly all seminal broad-leaved weeds, but their effect is much poorer on the weeds of the graminea association, such as Setaria glauca, Setaria viridis, Echinochloa crus-galli and Digitaria sanguinalis.
