Sažetak
In the 3rd reporting period of the project, project team developed TRENIN methodology based on the results presented during second project workshop WS2 held in July 2010. The traceability methodology is based on the idea of the semantically enriched Traceability Records that are connecting and explaining how different information objects like documents, parts, web sites, etc. are interrelated and how the informational content that they are containing has evolved during the product development episode. The goal of the traceability records is to enable traceability of a process and product information that is fragmented across different information objects managed in engineering design environments. Because of the semantically enriched traceability records, information objects are more accessible, the extended filtering and search procedures based on the TRENIN ontology elements become feasible, and context relevant utilization of the information objects by means of tracing and explaining information development evolution become available for all participants in product development process. As a case study for evaluation of the proposed methodology three product development projects from two different industrial partners have been selected and prepared. For the KONČAR KEEI these are development of converters of electrical values in railway vehicles and development of the train/tram vehicle control system. For TPV that is development of the new generation of mechatronic car seats. At the moment, evaluation procedure is ongoing manually and will be continued during 4th reporting period including TRENIN system preliminary evaluation. Functional requirements, static and behaviour views on TRENIN application framework have been developed. Three tier application architecture proposed at the end of the 2nd reporting period has been further decomposed and installation, setup, initialisation, execution and utilisation phases have been specified and described. Application mechanisms like external application interface, traceability engine, data management subsystem, traceability record manager and other utility functions have been defined. Spring Java/J2EE application framework and OntoStudio© of Ontoprise GmbH have been chosen as the implementation and validation platform.
