Sažetak
General features of the implementation of the project of academic gowns for the Ph.D. graduation ceremony at the University of Zagreb are presented. For this purpose the objective of the project which applies to the design and manufacture of formal academic gowns consisting of academic gown, academic cap and talar is presented. The main criteria for the selection of materials as well as construction, mechanical and physical parameters of the wool fabrics that were in competition for academic gowns are also presented. The test results of the mechanical properties depending on the construction parameters of the used fabrics are especially emphasized. Based on the analysis of the obtained results basic criteria and limit values of certain parameters of the fabrics for the manufacture of formal academic gowns were determined.
