Sažetak
Majority of stream ecologists considered that discharge regime, manifested by current velocity, selective particle drift of organic detritus, food supply of biothops and macroinvertebrate passive drift, are deciding common factors influencing the functional community organization of macrobenthic invertebrates. Our investigation showed that discharge regime, manifested by drift of macroinvertebrates and organic drift and food supply, defined the seasonal changes of shredder and collector filterer macroinvertebrates in the lower rhithron section of the river Sava. On the other side, collector gatherers, represented by minute oligochaets, which live buried in the substratum, were not subject to elimination by high discharge peaks. Gastropod fauna and leeches, attached forms of scrapers and predators respectively, was not considerable affected by discharge regime too.
