The paper has looked into the way in which the traditional modes of representation have been subverted by the intertextual relation between the cultural master narratives about love, life and the dominant patriarchal order and the small narratives of personal fates, intervowen in oral and traditional culture comprised in proverbs, oral histories and personal memorabilia.
