Sažetak
Engineering has greatly contributed to the material well-being essential to the flourishing of human civilization. It is an important and learned profession, which has a direct and vital impact on the quality of life for all people. It can also be the cause of immense human suffering. The interest in engineering ethics is undergoing a revival, even though it is still relatively unexplored compared to other professions such as medicine and business. The analysis of engineering ethics in this paper leads to specific suggestions for changes in engineering education, engineering institutions, industry practices and the public positioning of engineering.
