Sažetak
Cytochemical assays of the activity of peroxidase, alkaline phosphatase, acid phosphatase, phosphorylase and non- specific esterase in leukocytes in the peripheral blood of a group of 40 alcoholics and a control group of 21 healthy persons were carried out. The absence or low activity of assayed enzymes in granulocytes and lymphocytes in the peripheral blood of the alcoholics examined might be associated with the effect of ethanol and/or its oxidation products on the content of the examined enzymes in these cells.
