Sažetak
This article addresses the issue of reproducing local communities through intentional activities, through the reinterpretation of shared history and the reconstruction of social life within a devasted environment. The ethnographic records help us define the local community not as spatio-temporal continuity of life in actual places but as conceptual settings within which all human actions are meaningful, i.e. constructed in relation to the Other, most often to the newcomers.
