Sažetak
Our aim is to encourage debate on issues of copyright when it comes to electronic and mobile environment. We are planing to look that problem from a two sides, first is legal, what is the practice in Croatia and the world, and the second are examples from practice with some case studies. The law that regards copyright of computer program is considered violated if there is distribution without consent of the author, using for commercial purposes, and unauthorized removal of technical devices that are used for protection of computer programs. When we talk about Europe, in effect are the WIPO Copyright Treaty (WCT) and the WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty (WPPT). These laws are based on how the licensing works in the territorial sense, and everything that goes beyond the borders of one country on the Internet becomes globally available. We are witnessing the fast growing market applications in the mobile environment and it becomes our everyday life. Operating systems such as Nokia's Symbian, Google's Android, Apple's IOS and Microsoft's Windows Phone are the largest competitors in the market, each of which contains over one hundred thousand applications for mobile devices. Although the creation of applications on some platforms or using tools for creating applications is charged, the number of app developers grows everyday. So in what way, in this flood of developers and applications, small markets could protect intellectual property rights?
