Sažetak
Rationale for creation of national EMF safety legislation is discussed, with respect to technical aspects of setting the exposure limits, as well as the implementation of the EMF safety legislation. A possibility of including the precautionary principle in the exposure limits formulation is considered, with conse-quences on the implementation of EMF safety legislation. Meth-ods and standards for EMF measurement and calculation are presented and discussed, as well as the issues of measuring in-struments calibration and laboratory accreditation. The influence of EMF safety legislation on exploitation and development of technical systems is discussed, and illustrated with the experi-ences in determination of the EMF safety corridors around the electric power lines, and their impact on exploitation and devel-opment of the electric power system.
