RATIONALE:Tumor marker CYFRA 21-1 has been included in clinical practice as standard clinical method after research on all parameters that could influence its value and dynamics on 1036 samples.METHODS:The sample includes 1780 surgically treated patients by pneumonectomy (31%) or lobectomy (69%) in the period from 1997 and 1999 in hospital Jordanovac (56, 38% squamous cell carcinoma, 38, 64% adenocarcinoma and 4, 97% large cell carcinoma).CYFRA 21-1 level has been measured by ECLIA (Roche …
