Sažetak
This paper addresses expansion and alteration work that was carried out on the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Pojišan in the period between 1760 and 1790. Related documents revealed that a Dalmatian „proto“, Matija de Rossi, was in charge of the expansion work. Following completion of the church construction in 1771/1772, the erection of the bell tower begun. On 4th February 1775, master Vicko Macanović signed the contract for the construction of the bell tower with the representatives of the Brotherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Pojišan, procurator Juraj (Zorzi) Galasi and Petar Gališić. The bell tower was completed in 1782, that is, seven years after the contract had been signed. The autor of the paper indicates that there are the stylistic and typological similarities between the church of Pojišan and other church objects built in the same period, such as the former Franciscan Church of Our Lady of Health and the parish church in Kaštel Štafilić.
