Sažetak
An overview of air-quality research studies performed at Andrija Mohorovičić Geophysical Insitute (AMGI), Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb is given. Scientific efforts can be dividied into the modeling and experimental studies. These resulted in several models developed (such as long-range transport of sulfur model, Lagrangian particle dispersion model, and neural network model for the forecast of pollutants concentrations) as well as in a number of experimental results related to precipitation chemistry and pollution levels in urban environments. In addition, widely used atmospheric and chemistry models were used in order to investigate severe pollution episodes.
