Sažetak
Second home use as a specific kind of housing is an increasingly important global social phenomenon and an important factor of social and spatial transformation of landscapes. The current density of second homes particularly along the Croatian coast suggests that the phenomenon of second homes is one of the key themes to understand socio- spatial development of Croatia. The aim of this paper was to describe the basic characteristics of second homes in Croatia. Precisely, in presentation were described main features of Croatian second homes, patterns of their use as well as spatial distribution of phenomenon.
