Sažetak
The estimated total world consumption of surfactants is more than 15 million tons, nearly half of that relates to the use of anionic surfactants. An increasing awareness of environmental problems makes analytical determination and monitoring of surfactants necessary. Potentiometric surfactant-sensitive electrodes provide an attractive alternative method for standard MBAS method, because the simple procedure can easily be automated and can also be applied to coloured and turbid samples. The results obtained using a self-made liquid membrane potentiometric surfactant-sensitive sensors with 1, 3-didecyl-2-methylimidazolium- tetraphenylborate ion-pair and tetrahexadecylammonium-dodecylsulfate ion-pair as electroactive material in membranes agree satisfactorily with those obtained with standard MBAS method.
