Sažetak
Information system (IS) users in organizations of all sizes and all types are moving toward a new synthesis of centralized and disturbed computing. A new paradigm is emerging, which defines the role of the mainframe within an enterprise model. It combines performance, flexibility and user-friendliness of small systems with the inherent economies of scale of central IS operations.
