Sažetak
In this paper the linear bearing force-velocity model is used for stability analysis of radial loaded Laval rotor in oil-film bearings. A domain of rotor speed and transverse bearing load, which provides stable support and introduces heavy damping of rotor vibration, is obtained by standard computational routines. As a result of this analysis, the stability boundaries for different values of rotor and bearing damping parameters are determined. The stability regions based on this linear force-velocity model agree with practical observations of rotor dynamic behavior and with the experimental data.
