Sažetak
The sensor of the Coriolis mass flowmeter, consisting of the two elastic, straight and parallel tubes, is presented by a system of partial differential equations. The tubes are divided into the final elements and presented in the form of bond graphs. The equations of motion are discretized and solved numerically. The effects of different densities (500, 1000 and 3000 kg/m3) have been studied in the velocity range from 0 to 15 m/s. It was found that above some mass flow rate the sensor linearity increases. The positions of the motion sensors effect more the sensitivity coefficient then the linearity. The length of the vibrating tubes effects the natural frequency and the sensitivity coefficient. If the natural frequency is used to determine the fluid density accurately it is necessary to introduce the correction for fluid velocity. The fluid velocity effects the natural frequency too. The modelling results were compared with the experimental data for the commercially available meter.
